Significance of interaction
The significance of human interaction grows in proportion to the multiple crises we face, such as the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, climate change and extreme weather events, the political shift to the right, and widespread disinformation. These challenges unsettle us and threaten societal cohesion. At events, we have the opportunity to exchange and verify information through dialogue, to share and confide in one another, to step out of our bubbles, and to agree on new, shared perspectives. In personal encounters, we experience resonance. Strong relationships and reliable networks are built through such meaningful interactions.

"Real encounters are becoming increasingly important."
Michaela Schedlbauer-Zippusch, Managing Director Austrian Convention Bureau (ACB)
"Real encounters are becoming increasingly important", says Michaela Schedlbauer-Zippusch. The Managing Director of the Austrian Convention Bureau (ACB) explains: "In a time of change and increasing digitalisation, the value of real encounters and direct interaction is becoming ever more important. Especially in the age of AI and fake news, personal interactions are invaluable."
Sustainability is not a trend
Sustainability is not a trend for us but a continuous commitment. We take a stand and act as partners in the pilot project for a circular trade show booth. We co-organize the She Means Business conference on diversity, gender equality, and female empowerment in collaboration with the IMEX Group and MPI – Meeting Professionals International for IMEX 2025. Students of the #SocialSix initiative contribute fresh perspectives and support for young talent.
In 2025, our four digital editions of tw tagungswirtschaft and m+a report will be published in March, May, September, and November. The tw weekly newsletter appears weekly, the m+a newsline every two weeks, and our website and LinkedIn channels deliver daily updates.

"In times of artificial intelligence and fake news, face-to-face dialogue to compare and exchange information at congresses and trade fairs is becoming increasingly important. We report on this."

"I am very much looking forward to this new role and the opportunity to bring fresh impetus to a brand so rich in tradition. The trade fair and event industry is facing exciting changes, and I want to help our readers take advantage of the opportunities presented by these dynamic times. Together, we will continue to deliver exciting stories and valuable insights - from new perspectives that will shape the future."
Justine Hein, Editor m+a newsline:

"In the dynamic world of trade fairs and events, we always want to keep our finger on the pulse. This year, we are particularly proud to offer an English version of our eMagazine for the first time - made possible by the use of artificial intelligence. This not only expands our offering, but also our reach: in future, we will be addressing international event planners and at the same time giving international providers access to the world of European event planning.
We look forward to driving this exciting development forward together with you!"
Simone Hammer, Senior Business Development Manager tw tagungswirtschaft & m+a report

"Trade fairs and business events are becoming key platforms in a world of change. They offer space for real encounters, while at the same time looking to the future in a more digital, interactive and sustainable way. At tw tagungswirtschaft and m+a report, we are supporting this transformation and are optimistic about the future."
